A car named Daisy
Catherine & I had a great time photographing this summery, Kentish wedding. The ceremony was held at St. Francis Church in central Maidstone, which provided a bright and open space for the traditional service. The bride pulled up in an absolutely stunning Buick named ‘Daisy’, which was the highlight of the day for some of the men (and certainly turned a few heads on the highstreet!). The yellow colour scheme was a really lovely sunny touch, and not something we see often.
We then headed to the Hop Farm near Tonbridge for the reception. An extremely beautiful venue with rows of oast houses providing an unmistakably Kentish backdrop to the wedding photographs. The atmosphere was light-hearted and fun, which is always a pleasure to photograph – all the guests were very relaxed, and filled the air with laughter. The band were absolutely fantastic (even we couldn’t stand still taking the dancing photos!) and played late into the night for a great party.
We were lucky enough to be able to pop outside with the newlyweds just as the sun was setting, and got some lovely romantic photos of them together. Check out how low he held her for their movie-screen kiss!
